MDYUC played MLK, Jr. Celebration featuring Aretha Franklin 1/19
Posted by on: On Monday, January 19th, MDYUC joined twelve other groups to honor and celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in a concert featuring the incomparable Aretha Franklin and Singers. This presentation at Greater Grace Temple, 23500 W. Seven Mile in Detroit, featured several gospel-oriented performers. MDYUC lead singer Jor el Quinn was a featured performer, and an exciting new version of “Keep Peace in the ’Hood!” with rappers Lady T and Steven Fagan PLUS breakdancing by The Detroit Hardcore Breaking Crews’ Haleem and Mary.
