| MDYUC & Phil. Curtain Call Creations to present “Kids Deserve a Better Rap |

EXPANSION IS IN THE AIR! MDYUC Detroit has grown outside it's Midwest borders to team up with Philadelphia’s student run Production Company, Curtain Call Creations to present a program called “Kids Deserve a Better Rap”. The after school program began early October, 2005 and includes 16 middle and high school students attending workshops in Rap, DJ, and Hip Hop. That’s right, Detroit fans, this production will feature live young DJs, scratchin’ on the turntables- an MDYUC first! The goal of “Kids Deserve a Better Rap” is to harness the power of Hip Hop and transform it into a mechanism for spreading a positive, character-building messages. The main theme, “Cool Beats- Clean Rhymes, for the young and intelligent,” is consistent with the Detroit-area model.
Three performances will take place on “Super Saturday,” December 10, 2005 at the new Adventure Aquarium on The Delaware Waterfront in Camden, New Jersey. The mini-show will be performed three times: 12:30 PM, 1:30 PM and 2:30 PM. Not only will guests enjoy almost 200,000 square-feet of sea and wildlife in a world-class aquarium, but Disney on Ice will be on-hand with giveaways and fun activities for the entire family.
Maureen Mullin, Executive and Artistic Director, has been hosting the award winning program from Detroit, meeting three times a week at her South Philadelphia studio, Curtain Call Creations. Some of Philadelphia’s top artistic dancers, DJ’s, musicians and rappers are staffing the program. Curtain Call Productions’ traveling musical road tour will open each set with a MDYUC song performed as the finale.
In January 2006, Kids Deserve A Better Rap, will expand to encompass The Greater Delaware Valley. For more details, click “Read More”

The Adventure Aquarium- Delaware Avenue, Camden, NJ. Hours of operation: 9:30am – 5:00pm
Admission includes entrance to the Aquarium and all its exhibits: Adults - $16.95, Children (2-12) and Seniors (65 and up) $13.95. Children under 2 are FREE.
