Posted by on: Nancy and Larry Johnson, supporters of the Youth Under Construction movement that relocated to Florida in 2003, are working to promote the positive MDYUC music movement in Port St. Lucie, FL. Lauren Johnson, their daughter, recently performed songs off the MDYUC CD as part of the "Firehouse Idol" singing competition and did an outstanding job! The judges curiosity was piqued- where did this song "Who am I?" come from? Lauren also performed "Opinions- I've Got Mine" with visiting friend and Wayne, MI resident Becky McClester in the competition. Youth Under Construction is pleased and proud to announce the movement is on the move... Port St. Lucie youth are encouraged to become a part of this. Contact the Johnsons at 772-475-5345 for more information about how to audition and become a part of this exciting program!
Larry Johnson, the original director of the MDYUC live show that premiered at the Second City venue in Detroit is also a member of Richard Street's touring "Temptations" group (performing the hits of the group worldwide).
