Posted by youngpop on: Monday 16 May @ 03:59:16 “Pages to Stages” (P2S) is listed in the May 15, 2011 edition of the Detroit Free Press, selected for inclusion in their “Summer Dreams” program! Please see the pull-out insert section page 18 or click here to see the "Pages to Stages" org. listed.
The goal is to raise $15,000 and assist thousands of local youth with this initiative- we currently have two sites scheduled to run the “Youth Under Construction” programs, starting next July. We are looking forward to the days ahead to help “raise the bar” for metro Detroit youth,

| Youth Under Construction Live Show AGAIN Selected by Mich. Humanities Council! |

Schools and non-profit organizations have the opportunity to receive a grant for a portion of our presentation fees. The application process is simple and due beginning Sept. 1, 2009 for presentations booked after Oct. 1, 2009. | MDYUC Honored by Skillman Foundation in Detroit Free Press YAK Article |

With a readership of over 300,000, this is also delivered to many Detroit Public Schools. Once per week, the Skillman Foundation puts a spotlight on organizations or programs they have supported and the Sept. 18, 2007 edition featured "Youth Under Construction: Sing, Dance and Rap to Different Beat." This full-page article displayed 3 photos of the group. From a November, 2004 picture taken at a parade in Royal Oak, with "YAK," the furry mascot of the newspaper section, to a shot of the group that performed at the Mich. State Fair on Labor Day weekend 2007.
